EZ Thumbnail Builder FAQ

1. How to register EZ Thumbnail Builder

When you see the main window appears, select "Help" in main menu and "Register" in its sub-menu. Then the registration window appears, fill in your license name and license code, press "Register" button. Finally close and re-run the software again, it will upgrade to registered version.

2. How to publish albums online

Step 1, Generate your album on your local harddisk. For instance you specify "Destination Folder" as C:\MyAlbum. All files of your album are stored in this folder.

Step 2, Use an FTP client software, e.g. CuteFTP, to upload. For instance you create a folder on your web host as /Album. Use CuteFTP to upload all files in C:\MyAlbum and its sub-folders. CuteFTP will generate the same folder structure on your web host as them on your local harddisk. That means CuteFTP will generate sub-folders /Album/thumb, /Album/pic, /Album/picpage, and store correct files to these folders. If your FTP software can not do that, you have to do that manually.

Step 3, That's all. You can visit your album at http://www.yourcompany.com/Album/index.htm. http://www.yourcompany.com is your own domain name. We suggest place a hyper link on your original web pages to http://www.yourcompany.com/Album/index.htm.

3. How to sort photos in albums

First of all, add all photos. Secondly, press the "Sort by" button beside the "Add" button, a menu appears. You can choose to sort by name, by date, by size, by type.

4. What's the difference between trial version and  registered version

The only difference is trial version can generate albums with less than 15 photos.

5. What's the difference between single license and site license

EZ Thumbnail Builder under single license can only be installed and used on your own computers. We allow you install it on your desktop and laptop computers. However, you can not give it to others, include your family members, friends and colleagues. If EZ Thumbnail Builder will be used on several computers owned by different people, several single license should be purchased.

EZ Thumbnail Builder under site license can be installed and used on computers located on a certain site. Commonly, a studio or company should purchase the site license. Then they can install it on their employee's computers without limitations.

6. How can I confirm that I have registered successfully

If you have registered successfully, you can add more than 15 photos in an album. The registration reminder window will not appear. But the "Buy" button will stay.

7. How to publish albums to a CD

Step 1, Generate your album on your local harddisk. For instance you specify "Destination Folder" as C:\MyAlbum. All files of your album are stored in this folder.

Step 2, Burn all files and sub-folders to a CD. You will see some files (eg. index.htm, PageBG.gif) in C:\MyAlbum, and some sub-folders (eg. \pic, \picpage). There are some files in these sub-folders. For example your CDR is H:\. Then index.htm should be placed in H:\index.htm, C:\MyAlbum\pic should be placed in H:\pic, and so on. Files in sub-folder should be burned to correspondent folders in the CD.

Step 3, When someone open the CD, double-click the index.htm, Internet Explorer should show the album.

Step 4, Enable autorun of the CD. This step is optional. Edit a text file as below and save it as "Autorun.ini". Burn Autorun.ini to the root folder of your CD, eg H:\. You can use any text editor software, eg Notepad, to generate Autorun.ini.

Content in Autorun.ini:
[autorun]
open=index.htm
